Spanish!

Primary 2 loved learning some Spanish recently! We even had a special visitor! 





Traffic light treat!

Primary 2 and Miss Beattie are very proud that we were all able to take part in traffic light treat at the end of last term. We loved our trip to the ice cream van! 



Did somebody say sandwiches?

Primary 2 have been reading and studying the book The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. In the story Mrs Grinling makes yummy lunches for Mr Grinling. Here are some pictures of us making sandwiches. 







Primary 2 at Dalmuir Park part 3

After a very long day of learning about the plants, trees and animals at Dalmuir Park, Primary 2 finally got a chance to play at the park. We had lots of fun!

As well as viewing the wildlife in Dalmuir Park, primary 2 also got up close and personal with the gigantic trees that are planted at the Park. We got to take part in tree rubbing!

Primary 2 recently had the opportunity to visit Dalmuir Park. We were given a tour and were able to see some of the many animals that live in Dalmuir Park. Here are some pictures of us investigating.

P2 went to the Panto!

Primary 2 absolutely loved their trip to the Panto at Christmas time. Special mention to Maya who was selected to go up on stage and summarise what had happened in the story so far, to the WHOLE audience. Well done Maya! 




Primary 2 are bright sparks!

P2 have loved learning all about electricity. We can build a simple circuit and name lots of items that need electricity to work. 

We love to learn from each other!

Xander and Miss Beattie swapped roles during a recent maths lesson. The class love learning from each other and everyone is excited for their turn as “the teacher”. 




A special big reading lesson for eco week!

As part of eco week, we have enjoyed reading The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, which is set in the beautiful outdoors. We decided to act out the story with some role play! Here are some pictures of us having lots of fun! 

It is eco week!

Primary 2 have been learning all about the importance of reducing litter at school, at home and out in the streets. We have been doing our bit by taking part in a litter pick out in the playground! What can you do to reduce litter in your local area? 








Primary 2 are in the money!

Our current maths topic of money is proving to be very popular with Primary 2. We love to add coins to buy things and we love to use different coin combinations. Here we are working with a partner!


Primary 2 are getting crafty!

Primary 2 are very proud of the art culture in Scotland. We have been learning how to weave tartan, crest our own tartan patterns, making thistles from a paper plate and  our handprints and folding a kilt for Robert Burns! We have enjoyed using lots of different materials. 




Primary 2 are healthy eaters!

Primary 2 have enjoyed trying lots of new fruit and vegetables as part of our healthy eating topic.

Primary 2 love shortbread!

Throughout January, primary 2 have enjoyed learning about Scotland. Our class focus was Scottish celebrations. During this topic, We have been learning the traditions of a Burns supper. Primary 2 had a special interest about what is eaten at a Burns supper. We decided to make some yummy shortbread! Here are the results. 




P2 Trip to the Glasgow Science Centre!

Primary 2 loved their recent trip to the Glasgow Science Centre. They enjoyed all of the activities and were invited for a special adventure into space at the planetarium. Here are some pictures of Primary 2 having fun with science!
